Hello and Happy December to everyone. For today’s updates we have art. Both Supah and MegaSquid Man grace us with a new picture each. A new picture in Supah’s Original Characters – Dess Gallery and in MegaSquid Man’s D&D Gallery. Also Rose of Darkness offers up 4 new pictures for everyone’s viewing pleasure. Whackpack Studios: Late for Thanksgiving, Just in time for Leftovers.

11-11-08

Today is Veteran’s Day when we remember and appreciate all the fine brave men and women who have fought to keep us safe and free. There is one particular serviceman I would like to mention Private Theodore Amatulli. Ted is a fellow Pack member and a long time friend who’s shipping off to Afghanistan in December. We all wish you the best of luck Ted and thank you for being brave enough to do what so many take for granted.

And according to the calendar sitting next to my desk today is also the birthday of another fictional character and as you may well know here at Whackpack Studios we gladly celebrate the birthdays of fictional character. So Happy Birthday Jiraiya.

Now for today’s update not only does Rose of Darkness grace us with three new pictures she also has a new picture up in her bio page. And in a surprise turn of events our very own Queen of Hate even has a new picture to show off.

~Eddie G

11-03-08

Holy wow! Did we just really go through an entire month without updating the site? Man we must have been busier through October that I first thought. Well for this update we’ve updated the current project status in MegaSquid’s and Eddie G’s bios. We’ve also got a new link to share in our Links section for “Head Injury Theater” a very fun site full of movie reviews, fun articles, and great artwork.

There also extra news and projects going on in the forums for those interested. And don’t forget to vote Tuesday, and vote well, all elections are important.

~Eddie G

09-29-08

The Silly Stuff has been updated and MegaSquid has snuck a new picture into his Digital Artwork section. And yes, I do in fact, Stink.

09-22-08

While the Pack has be hard at work on a number of different projects unfortunately some of them have no connection to this website and those that are have not been finished yet. But for the time being those interested can read further about our D&D module on the forums as well as a new movie review in the Attitude at the Movies section.

~Eddie G

09-09-08

Well I’ve been back from my vacation for a while now and I would have updated already if I wasn’t so exhausted yesterday. And now some of the pack is preparing for a trip to Tuxedo for the annual Renaissances Fair. Maybe I’ll take some pictures while I’m out there. Oh and talking about pictures I took some while I was out and about in Myrtle Beach and I’ll post some of them on the forums when I defeat this bout of lethargy.

As for updates we got new pictures in the Fan Art section from forum member NGiacin. MegaSquid sharers two new pictures in his Digital Art gallery. I also rearranged the writings sections to better reflect who deserves credit for the different works.

~Eddie G

08-25-08

Yeah I’m heading off to South Carolina to visit family and just generally take it easy. I’ll share any good picture if I happen to take any. But my vacation isn’t what we’re here for we’re here for the updates. Now today we’re going to be updating in multiple parts as the updates become available over the course of the day.

For the first part of today’s update we have 3 new pictures up in the Fan Art section from fellow forum member NGiacin for everyone to enjoy, we all hope to see more from him in the future. And our next update is another long awaited issue of Legends of The Rum “Communication Breakdown”

~Eddie G

The next part of todays updates features MegaSquid Man graciously sharing with us new descriptions for two pictures in his D&D gallery and one picture in his Digital Artwork Gallery.

Now for one last update to day, MegaSquid Man sends to us all the way from Florida a sketch preview of the next page of “Blue Eden”

08-18-08

I’m sorry to say this but we’ve just got nothing prepared for today’s update. We have been working on offline related projects and when we’ve better prepared them we’ll share them here on the website. To make up for this we’re hard at work setting up an update for next week that should be a little larger then usual.

Dateline, Whackpackstudios.

It was today, approximately 1:38 PM, that Jayson Klein, known to his fans as Megasquid Man, for reasons to his own knowledge, would type up this VERY update that I'm reading to everyone at this moment.

It also says hear that the word "hear" has been spelled wrong... Oh brother!

Now, as he states while I read this, that there are updates for the Whackpack Studios that include the following:

• One new Page of Blue Eden, which he states took him MUCH longer than needed, and expects to update an 8th page this Month.
• One New Logo of his own re-design.
• And, finally, a new vote incentive for Legends of the Rum

In other news it seems the prices for Beef have been dropping rapidly, researchers believe that...

*Mooooooo!*

*Cow lands on Newscaster's head with the comically-funny "CRASH"*

(This skit has been brought to you by Megasquid Man, himself, because he is SO proud to have his newest page finally up, because that IS his baby, and will never let it go)

07-21-08

The lovely lady above is in fact Supah’s girlfriend and they have been together a little over a year. The two of them just recently returned from a vacation to the windy city of Chicago, where they attended G-Fest 15 and enjoyed the city. Supah wants to share a G-Fest report and we should hopefully have it up and running soon. Mentioning Supah, he has a new Bio picture from G-Fest up in his Bio page for your enjoyment.

Our other updates include 3 new pictures from MegaSquid Man in his D&D gallery, along with descriptions of some of his older entries. Rose of Darkness likewise shares with us 3 new pictures as well.

~Eddie G

07-07-08

So yes, according to the Naruto calendar I have on the wall next to my monitor today is Kiba Inuzuka’s birthday. This calendar also says that the 3rd is Neji’s birthday and the 23rd is Sasuke’s. And we here at Whackpack Studios gladly celebrate the birthday of fictional characters. Now as for our website we’ve got two rare updates to share. There is a new picture up in Eddie G’s gallery and we’ve got the latest issue of Legends of the Rum finished for your viewing pleasure “Formal Attire”.

06-24-08

Whackpack Studios is much saddened by the passing of one of comedies greats George Carlin. There is not a member of the Pack who did not appreciate Mr. Carlin’s work on some level. Whether it was his work on TV and Film or his Stand-up comedy Carlin was a wonderful performer with an excellent ability to weave words and language in a way that drew in the crowd. The Pack would often get together whenever he had a new special on. I even said that if a ThunderCats movie was ever made he should play the part of Jaga. Mr. Carlin thank you for all the laughs over the years; you will be surely missed but never forgotten.

It’s a sad time here at the Studios right now. Not only are we saddened by George Carlin’s passing but Stan Winston’s recent passing as well. Supah and I are planning on creating a small video tribute to Mr. Winston as we speak. As for updates we’ve got two new pictures from Rose of Darkness to share, they are up for viewing on her Bio page as well as her original gallery. We’ve also updated the Silly Stuff in the Writings section

            ~Eddie G

06-17-08

Hello everybody here is the next update for today. MegaSquid Man graces us with 3 new pictures in his D&D gallery. Supah’s computer is a little messed up so we had to put on hold additional updates from him until it’s fixed. In the meantime enjoy Squid’s pictures until next time.

~Eddie G

06-16-08

Well it’s been two years here at Whackpack Studios and this anniversary really snuck up on us out of nowhere. Now we don’t really have any special events planed for the anniversary, we do have updates in two parts that we’re presenting today and tomorrow.

For today Rose of Darkness shows off four new pictures; two of which in her D&D gallery and two in the Originals Gallery. And of course all four are available for view on the main page of her Bio for those who just want to view her newest work. Supah also debuts his newest custom creation, based on his original character, the Dess Heroclix

            ~Eddie G

06-02-08

Now I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before but I hate being sick. This time I’ve only got a cold and it not as bad as the chest cold I had before, but it’s still effecting me. Rather then doing, well say anything, I just curl up in bed and enjoy my protagonist’s trip through Silent Hill once again. So in light of my status I’ve put up our old “Legends” vote incentive “Sick Daze”.

Other updates include a new picture up in MegaSquid’s Blue Eden Gallery titled Tabby & Shigeru. Also while digging through some of Supah’s old works we found a picture for MegaSqiud’s “Blue Eden” that he drew and we never put up. This picture can be found in his Original Characters – Other Characters gallery

            ~Eddie G

05-26-08

Well everyone this is Memorial Day week and I hope everyone is enjoying themselves and spending time with their loved ones. We’ve got a small update for today, a couple of new pictures from Rose of Darkness. Rose graces us with three new pictures in her bio page and they can also be viewed in their respective galleries.

           ~Eddie G

05-19-08

Well the Chaos of Jay (MegaSquid Man) and Ted (Attitude) arriving and/or departing has now passed. Jay now establishing our southern command in Florida will continue to provide his artwork for everyone to enjoy, while continuing to support us at Whackpack Studios with both his technical and artistic expertise. And now that Ted is out of basic training we hope to see more “Attitude at the Movies” reviews from him.

We’re getting back into the swing of things here, we’ve got new issues of “Legends” in the works and even MagaSquid is penning more “Blue Eden” for your enjoyment. And for your viewing pleaser all our talented artists have more work in the pipeline. Now for today’s update we have a pleasant surprise for Bloodrayne fans as Supah unveils his latest custom creation the “Ferril Heroclix”.

~Eddie G

05-12-08

It’s a sad moment here at Whackpack Studios today. Our very own MegaSquid Man has up and moved to Florida. We spent the entire weekend throwing him a going away party. While Jay will be missed the only thing that separates him from us is distance. MegaSquid will still be a part of Whackpack Studios and will continue to help us produce the wonderful and wacky stuff that makes us who we are.

05-05-08

Oh man this is going to be one heck of a week. Not only is our long time Pack member and co-founder Attitude returning to NY with his wife and Daughter for a visit now that he has finished basic training, this is also the weekend that Megasquid Man is moving away to Florida. So we’re both preparing a welcoming and farewell party at the same time. Oh joy.

But it is May, a new month and we’ve got new updates. Our “The Rose of Darkness” shows off 4 new pictures on her bio page along with a lovely new picture of herself in the bio as well. Supah also presents a new sketch picture in his Copyrighted Characters Gallery. Shock and Behold we’ll also got the next issue of Legends of the Rum up as well.

Bonus Video

All-Purpose DBZ Music Video
By MeriC

We’ve got one last bonus video we’re going to direct you all towards. We’ve shared some of our favorite video by other long time artists and now we’re going to introduce you to the video that both celebrates and ridicules all the thing we love and hate about DBZ AMVs and music videos in general.

The All-Purpose DBZ Music Video includes original live action footage created just for the video that parodies television shopping networks. There are also a number of insider jokes that DBZ and AMV fans might catch.

http://templeotrunks.com/media/dbz_music_videos/index.html

Well DBZ Day is coming to an end, and we hope you all enjoyed our month long celebration. I want to extend a very grateful thank you to all the AMV artists that created all these videos we’ve come to enjoy over the years. As for the different videos of the week we’re slowly going to be taking them off the main page over the next month and placing them in the news link above. After that we’ll be leaving the picture as active links for only about a month, so catch them before they're gone. But we'll be keeping the DBZ Day Video of the Month up in the video section as long as Mr. Johnson allows it.

And for today’s last DBZ Day updates we have a new AMV in the video section the “Goku Vs. Vegeta Tribute.” We also have a new Custom Creation by Supah the “Piccolo Heroclix.” And lastly we’ve added 8 new pages to the story “History of Trunks” in the writings section. We’ll be back to our usual nonsense this Monday so we’ll catch you then.

Video of the Week #4

Open Road Song
By MeriC

Open Road Song is a fun little video set to one of our favorite DBZ “filler” episodes in which Goku and Piccolo try to earn their divers licenses. This Open Road Song video is set to the Eve 6 song of the same name and was made by MeriC, a long time AMV artist who has been making videos as far back as 98’. MeriC also runs “The Temple O’ Trunks” website, a DBZ fansite full of content that any fan would enjoy. You can download the Open Road Song AMV as well as others here

Most Absurd

Cucumber
By Kwasek

When it comes to downright silly, and we at Whackpack understand silly, Cucumber is one of the most comical DBZ we’ve ever had the joy of viewing. Cucumber was made by Kwasek of the now unfortunately very dead “More Then Toast Productions” that produced a number of fine AMVs. This video is set to the song “I’m a Cucumber” as sung by Brak the comically askew Space Ghost villain voiced by Andy Merrill. As silly as Cucumber is it also paved the way for its sequel…

Most Dedicated Fan Base

Cucumber Too
By Kwasek

Cucumber Too is the sequel or perhaps remake is a better description, of Kwasek’s video Cucumber. While every bit as absurd as its predecessor (even more so in context) this video earns its award for the special circumstances behind it creation. A group of fans of the original Cucumber video happened across celebrated voice actor Scott McNeil at some unnamed convention. These fans were able to convince Mr. McNeil (being the awesome dude he is) to sing the cucumber song, recorded it, and sent it to Kwasek. So we honor this video not only for the artist who made it but also the fans that made it possible, and of course Scott McNeil who we will forever call “The Voice of the People”

DBZ Day Video of the Month

Particle Man
By Duane Johnson

Ah yes Particle Man. The granddaddy of them all as the Whackpack is concerned. Particle Man was the very first DBZ AMV that most of the Pack had ever seen, in some cases the first AMV altogether. Particle Man is set to the “They might be giants” song of the same name and while this video was not the first time we were exposed to the song, having the song certainly helped endear the video to us. And at the time we first saw it also exposed us to footage and characters we had only heard about, further grabbing our interest.

Now for those of you unfamiliar the song “Particle Man” revolves around four characters with names like Particle Man, Triangle Man, and Person Man fighting with each other. In this video Duane Johnson matches up characters from Dragonball Z with each of the songs characters using amusing footage to emphasize the lyrics. Apart from DBZ the video also includes footage from the original Dragonball, the DBZ movies, and video game. “Particle Man” continues to amuse and inspires us here at Whackpack Studios and we salute Duane Johnson and his video as our DBZ Day video of the month. If nothing else it just goes to show how well anime and polka music go together.

Video of the Week #3

Long Way Down
By XDannyPooX

Put to the Goo Goo Dolls song “Long way down” this video is a favorite of several pack members. Long Way Down is set to no particular main or supporting characters in the Dragonball Z story, but rather to a handful of background Namekian characters as they tried to survive against the invasion by Freeza and his minions.

This video does a remarkable job of capturing the Namekian’s struggle against the oppressive power of Freeza and his henchmen and the hopelessness of the situation. But it also demonstrates the courage and bravery of the characters as they attempt to stand against overwhelming odds. The timing of the footage and music really helps to enforce the mood and message of the video. Around 1:35 is a scene transition that I particularly liked. You can read the authors description and download several other videos here

Honorable Mention

Vegeta's Pride
By XDannyPooX

t Another video by XDannyPooX and this time featuring a song by
Blink-182 called “Adam’s Song”. This is actually a pretty sad video compared to the others we’ve shared with you. This video deals with Vegeta’s emotional and physical struggles not only against his enemies but also himself. You can read about the video here and download other videos by this artist as well

http://www.dbzwarriors.com/movies2.shtml

04-21-08

Video of the Week #2

Rise of a Tyrant
By 007 Vegeta

Set to “Reflection” by Megumi Hayashibara theme song of film Slayers Great this is actually the first in a trilogy of AMV’s By 007 Vegeta. Each part of this trilogy is set to a different story arc or saga of Dragonball Z. Overall out of the three this is the favorite of the Whackpack although all of them are fine videos.

Rise of a Tyrant focuses on the DBZ characters struggle against the villain of this particular arc Freeza, who is an excellent example of a Tyrant. This video includes of number of nice video effects with different scenes overlapping each other. I particularly like the rapid succession of clips timed to fasters sections of the song and the use of quick white flashes timed to the beat of the song at different parts of the song. You can read 007 Vegeta’s thoughts on this video as well as download it and the other parts of the trilogy here

http://www.dbzsc.com/?dbzsc=mvids1

Honorable Mention

Final Atonement
By 007 Vegeta

007 Vegeta has made a number of truly fine DBZ AMV’s that the Whackpack really enjoys it was quite an effort to narrow down the selection. In addition to selecting one off 007 Vegeta’s videos for video of the week we also selected another for honorable mention. So in the end we selected Final Atonement set to the song “And Then” by Ayumi Hamasaki.

The video we’re directing you towards is actually is remade version of the same video 007 Vegeta created some time early. Watching the remade video is almost like watching a completely new video in comparison. This video centers on Vegeta who at the time in the series was a selfish and arrogant man that had hardly overcome his formerly evil behavior. But now he has a chance to set things right by standing against the immensely powerful Majin Buu and by sacrificing everything perhaps stop it. The video and the author’s thoughts can be found here

http://www.dbzsc.com/?dbzsc=mvids3

Let me sincerely apologize for the update being late. If you checked the Forums I mentioned that my monitor was busted and I was unable to finish the update. But please don’t let that distract you from enjoying the next selection for Videos of the week. We’ve also got two new pictures in Rose of Darkness bio page and the second part of MegaSquid Man’s ICON report up for your enjoyment. The next update will be Monday (God willing) and should be more substantial as a result of Wednesday’s snag.

~Eddie G

04-14-08

Hello everyone, there isn’t much for today’s updates but I did add the first part of MegaSquid’s report to the ICON section. I’ve also updated the list of current projects in my gallery and we’ve got new music on the main page. Real updates will be on Wednesday. We’ll have some more Videos of the Week, some artwork, and maybe even some videos and comics of our own.

Video of the Week #1

Freeza Tribute
By
VegettoEX

Our first DBZ Video of the Week comes from VegettoEX and was made in early 2001. Tribute to Freeza is among VegettoEX earliest videos and is set to New Found Glory’s song “Hit or Miss”. One of the joys of AMV’s is being exposed to music you might have otherwise missed out on and this video is one of those examples. In fact we came to enjoy this song so much it developed into the Pack’s unofficial theme.

As the name suggests the video is a tribute to the Villainous Freeza who VegettoEX mentions is his favorite villain next to Emperor Pilaf. Even among the Whackpack Freeza is a strong favorite. While the video is a tribute VegettoEX jokes that the video is more about Freeza getting beat up more then anything else. While we here at Whackpack Studios honor Tribute to Freeza as one of our Videos of the week VegettoEX think of this as one of his lesser videos and considering its one of his first these feeling are understandable. If you’re interested you can read his description at

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=1612

Honorable Mention

Better Off Dead
By
VegettoEX

Narrowing down our selection to four videos of the next and one video of the month was no easy task. In the process we often had to further narrow the selections by Artist as so not to seem we played favorites. But we still felt some of these videos deserved some recognition. In this instance we would like to give honorable mention to VegettoEX first AMV Better Off Dead.

Set to the New Found Glory song of the same name “Better Off Dead” was a practice video for VegettoEX. Obviously being his first AMV VegettoEX has some very strong feeling regarding this video and really doesn’t think much of it. In fact he took the time to insert his thoughts into the video that you can watch on this YouTube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ikt79BwtvAo. You can also read his description here

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=13250

These are the first of our DBZ Videos of the Week we hope you enjoy them. This week’s updates also include a new custom creation from Supah, the Freeza Heroclix. It’s also the debut of the first 38 pages of my story History of Trunks: Majin Buu up in the Writings section. We’ve also got the I-CON 08’ report up as well as the pictures we took over the course of the convention. As of now only my report is up MegaSquid’s should be following shortly. And we would also like to present Supah’s next DBZ video Dragonball Dutch

            ~Eddie G

04-07-08

Yup, ICON is done with for this year and overall it was a lot of fun. We’ll be writing up a report and showing off the pictures we took shortly. We’ve got a lot of rescanning work to do to recover from the artwork loss. But fret fellow true believerstm Wednesday will feature real updates for all. We still have new videos in the works as well as the announcing of the DBZ Videos of the Week and the DBZ Video of the Month by other longtime AMV greats. See everyone then.

            ~Eddie G

04-05-08

On April 5, 1955 Akira Toriyama creator and artist of Dragonball was born. Happy Birthday Mr. Toriyama and thank you for your many creations.

Unfortunately I’ve got some bad news as it pertains to Whackpack Studios. Over the week all our art and video files were erased. Luckily we recovered the videos but we weren’t so fortunate with the artwork. This is a pretty big set back so far as our picture galleries are concerned. This is really going to affect the pace on which we planned to display artwork for DBZ Day and perhaps even our comics which we already have a poor update history. Luckily this shouldn’t have any effect on how we release the videos.

Also this is I-CON weekend at Stony Brook University, NY. I, MegaSquid Man, and Supah we be in attendance as well as our buddies from Press Start, who will be hosting a number of guest panels. So come on over and feel free to say hi if you happen across us.

DBZ Day

During December of 1984 Shonen Jump publisher SHUEISHA Inc. published the first installment of the Dragonball comic. Penned by Artist Akira Toriyama it became a success that could easily be described as Phenomenal. Dragonball ran for eleven years coming to its conclusion May of 1995 becoming a record-breaking seller with over 120,000,000 copies sold. Dragonball was adapted for animation and aired in Japan from February 1986 ending in April 1989. This paved they way for amazingly popular Dragonball Z, which first aired in Japan April 26, 1989, and continued the story.

Dragonball Z ended its run January 31 of 1996 only months before the English version began airing. But it wasn’t until August 98’ when Dragonball Z premiered on Cartoon Network that it would start its meteoritic success in the United States. Its success on Cartoon Network not only renewed interest in the series itself, but also helped revitalize interest Japanese animation in North America, and in turn created a greater sense of respect among the dubbing studios for the original work.

Even today, DBZ’s influence is still apparent and we here at Whackpack Studios would like to honor it through the month of April. While we call it DBZ Day it will be a month long event celebrating with DBZ themed art, comics, videos, and stories. We’ll also be honoring the long time AMV artist and their videos that have entertained and inspired us at Whackpack Studios. So get ready everyone, DBZ Day starts today.

For today’s updates returning visitors will notice the lovely new set of buttons on the navigation bar to the left. These are the first of the changes we have planned for the layout of the site. Now there are 4 new pictures in Eddie G’s gallery and some are even DBZ themed, but the most surprising part is that they are *gasp* hand drawn. Not nearly as surprising is that there is a new picture in MegaSquid Man’s D&D gallery and a new picture in Supah’s Original Character – Others gallery. We also have new vote incentives for both our webcomics. And the first of our DBZ videos for the month comes from Supah himself, so please enjoy “From this day – Tree of Might”.

03-28-08

Late update is late. Yeah those are the Easter Eggs I threw together literally when I was suppose to be displaying them. They are stunning evidence that I should not put pen to paper let alone pen to egg. Between Easter and the April surprise I didn’t make any time to complete the week’s updates until now. For this update we have 4 new pictures from that talent picturesmith Rose of Darkness. And a new picture from MegaSquid Man in his D&D gallery as well.

Now April 1st if be the next update and surprise we’ve been mentioning over the last few weeks. There we be new pictures and videos we’ve been saving for just this occasion. As well as some changes to the site layout and some specially selected videos we’re honoring.

            ~Eddie G

03-17-08

Hey what do ya know, it’s an actual Monday update. I’ve finally gotten the next issue of Legends of the Rum finished after about 7 weeks, 4 if you count the teaser. So for everyone who enjoys it here is the next issue “Best Start Believing”. Other updates for this week include 4 new pictures from our talented friend Rose of Darkness that you can see on the main page of her gallery. Supah also presents another custom creation The Ifurita Heroclix

April is only a few weeks away and we’re still hard at work preparing our month of surprises. I going to hit the grindstone and try to finish up another issue of Legends before then. So until next week have a great St. Patrick’s Day and a happy Easter.

            ~Eddie G

Whackpack Studios is deeply saddened at the passing of Gary Gygax. Gary Gygax was one of the creators of the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game and founders of TSR. Everyone here at Whackpack Studios thoroughly enjoyed the game he developed and his creative spark will be surely missed.

~Eddie G

03-03-08

I hate when I have to say this but we’ve got no update ready for today. The work for Legends is taking longer then anticipated, partly on account of the number of new characters I needed to take pictures of and prepare in Photoshop and of course because I stink. But work is still getting done. QoH is working on a new webcomic with RoD, Megasquid is doing artwork for both Blue Eden and Pithily Oroborus, and Supah is preparing more art and videos for your viewing pleasure. And we’re all working on our April surprise. Well we have more for you all to enjoy next week, so until then take care.

Happy Monday everyone. If you look at the picture above you can see that we’re ready to start plugging our very first D&D module. For those unfamiliar a D&D module is a premade adventure or setting for D&D players use instead of or in addition to their own. For those interested you can checkout the message board to get a look at what we’ve been working on as well as a chance to give us some feedback.

In addition to the Module Supah graces us with new and updated content. In his custom creations gallery he has one new addition; The Rayne Heroclix, and his Demona Heroclix gallery and Dark Rayne Heroclix gallery have been updated with new pictures. We’ve also got new vote incentives for both Legends of the Rum and Blue Eden.

Like usual I’m a day late and a dollar short, or rather two days late. And am I then therefore also two dollars short? Either way update time.

Supah has two new custom creations in his gallery for you viewing; Lexington Heroclix and Sixx Heroclix. We’ve also improved his Ryoko Heroclix gallery with addition and newer pictures; we also plan on doing the same for his Demona Heroclix and Dark Rayne Heroclix galleries. And since it's taking me so long to get the next issue of Legends of the Rum finished I made up this little teaser: The Bone Ship Approaches. It was originally planed to be a part of the last issue but we end up missing the characters and props we needed. We've also added additional material to the Silly Stuff in the Writings section.

I’m slowly fighting my way back to health. It’s been an up hill battle the entire way but progress is being made. The Picture you see above is the first place prize as chosen by this year’s winner of the video contest. Again a very special thanks to Angela West of The Artist’s Lair for allowing one of her prints to be this year’s prize.

As for today's update fellow Whackpacker Ultz debuts in the Writing section with his heroic story of sacrifice and bravery called “The Crimson Bells”. Supah has 1 new picture in his Kaiju – King Ghidorah gallery which has replaced another picture he had ask to have removed. There are also 2 new pictures in his Copyrighted Characters gallery a colored version as well as the original sketch. We also have 4 new pictures from Whackpack friend Rose of Darkness

It still a little ways off but we’re planning a special event for the month of April. We also plan on spiffing up the site with nicer graphic as well. In addition The Queen of Hate plans to present an original, hand drawn comic by Rose of Darkness in the coming weeks.

Happy Monday everyone, for those of you who have the day off for MLK day enjoy, for those who do not I feel your pain. Today’s updates include 4 new pictures from Supah in his Original Characters – Other Characters Gallery and 4 new pictures from Rose of Darkness. If you take a look at Rose’s gallery you’ll notice that one of her newest pictures is title “I'm a popular anime girl, Who am I”, none of us here at Whackpack Studios can figure out who she is and even Rose of Darkness seems to have forgotten. If anyone can figure out who she is, give us a heads up and maybe we’ll sent ya a keychain or something as thanks.

The next issues of Legends is taking much longer then expected. I had some camera problems combined with missing figures and props. These problems have set us back but we’re rectifying them as we speak and I’m about halfway done with the issue despite the complications. It will be up as soon as it is finished.

NyQuil comes in two colors: green and red. And it's the only thing on earth that tastes like.... green.... and red. ~ Lewis Black

I Hate being sick. Sick stinks. Not only is the general discomfort and weakness miserable, it’s also drags my work to a screeching halt, and stop me from enjoying any time with friends or family. But enough of my whining its time for updates.

First and fore mostly the video contest is over. We hope you all enjoyed it and we also want to give a big thanks to Angela West and everyone at the Artist Lair for being a part of it. We are contacting the winners and will announce them next week. The contest video is up in the Videos section for those interested in watching it or learning where the footage was from.

The next couple of scripts for Legends are typed up and Supah and I just need to smooth out the details and we’ll start shooting. We should still have the next issue up next update despite my sickness. I have no idea what’s going on with Blue Eden but Megasquid has been doing plenty of drawing, I’ve seen him, maybe I’ll ask him to address it on the forums. And QoH comic project has seems to have been forgotten by all but me. Likewise so has the last part of her music video series but maybe I just need to crack the whip on her some more.
